A little trip out to the canal

I often find it hard to just head out the door to go and explore by myself. So, when Caro proposed that we go to this spot along the canal, I was down!

I noticed that it´s not always easy to communicate directions from the back seat, especially when you have to doge dogs preparing to chase you down at seemingly whatever cost. At the end, we were able to navigate down to the canal.

We found the beach along the canal and sat down to drink some "mate". The wind was strong, but the late afternoon was beautiful. Not much later were we approached by a few horses making their way along the canal. Although the area has a few hotels, it is fairly remote from the city and renders a still and vast landscape.

It´s sometimes necessary to escape the close proximity of all the people in the house where we live, to enjoy the amazing scenery and feel the antarctic winds against your face. Truly then, do you feel like you are at the most southern city on our planet!

As the sun had already set over the mountains, we decided to head back towards the house, and a warm shower!!
